CHECKLIST FOR ONBOARDING

 

  1. Sign up for CakerHQ as Cake Maker

Select your subscription option, including promotion code if applicable, and enter your email address here. Link to: https://cakerhq.com/subscription

  1. Confirm your Email Address

Check your inbox and click on the link in the email from CakerHQ to verify your email address.

  1. We’ll Verify Your Business

Once we’ve done this, we’ll email you to let you know you can move on with the next steps.  Usually, this is completed within 24 hours. 

  1. Complete your Business Profile

Tell us, and the world, more about your business and complete the details about your business in your profile including your logo, details about the bakes you offer, some photos of your recent bakes.

  1. Add your Bank Details for Payouts

Add your bank details in your Settings page using Stripe, our trusted payment partner, so we can payout your funds.

 

Once all of these steps are done, your profile will be active and you’re ready to start taking bookings in CakerHQ!

 

USEFUL INFORMATION

Send Your Public Profile Link To A Client

When you’re logged in go to Profile Details and click on View Profile top right hand corner of screen.  Copy the URL, this is your public profile address, and send it to your client.  From here they can submit a Request for Quote or send you a Message.  All messages will then be linked to future orders from that client.

 

The Investment in Your Business

You pay either a monthly or yearly subscription fee to CakerHQ, less any promotional subscription offer.  This is the only cost to you.  Your payouts will be exactly what you invoice to your customer, there are no further fees to your business. 

 

Merchant Fees Paid By Client

We charge the client an administration fee on top of your quoted amount, between 6-9%, to cover bank fees, administration costs etc.

 

When Do You Get Paid?

Your client will pay a 50% deposit on acceptance of your quote which confirms their booking. 

The remaining balance owing will be paid 21 days before their event date.

We will payout the balance in your account once per week, each Wednesday.

 

Manage Your Calendar

Booked out?  Going on holidays?  Set the days you are unavailable in your calendar https://cakerhq.com/profile/calendar Click on manage calendar in the top right of the screen and set your unavailable days.  These will show as unavailable in your public calendar.

No More Ghosting!

Clients will have 5 days to reply to your quote or the quote will automatically be declined and the client will be notified.  We’ll send them reminders to respond to your quote too.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY SUMMARISED

CLIENT CANCELS28 days or more before event dateFull refund less any non-refundable amount
 Between 27 days and 4 days before event50% Deposit is kept by baker.  Any amount paid on top of this deposit is refundable.
 3 days or less before the eventNo refund of any amounts paid.
